Works just great!!!! Thank you for the nice instructions! BTW, even after the admintool run the client is still in the memory, so that one can either reboot the system or say

launchctl unload -w ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.akamai.client.plist

"The com.akamai.client.plist file should be located in ~/Library/LaunchAgents. Deleting it and logging out should get away the error."

Maybe? This bug seems to have different fixes for different folks. I was using CS4, for what it's worth.

I literally laughed out loud when I read, " Let's kill that fucker, shall we?" For that you get the Twitter follow for sure.

but sadly after downloading Photoshop Elements and it clearly saying it was going to give me a "download helper" because evidently I'm a moron and need it, it did NOT install any Akamai anything in my Applications folder. so that dang com.akamai.client.plist is running exactly every 10 seconds....

ideas?
